Samantha Guzman is a graduate student at the University of North Texas. She will be receiving her Master’s of Arts in Journalism in May 2014. She specializes in visual storytelling. Sam is a multimedia producer on this project. Before working on The Heart of Mexico, Sam completed work on “The Arrivals,” stories about undocumented immigrant youth in North Texas affected by deferred action. She is a member of Hatch Visuals, a student-run photography services agency in the UNT Mayborn School of Journalism.
